Love let Me Go

 Torn from heart to soul by Love's callous control. 

Ignored, deprived, distressed, 

and in a state of unrest 

due to falling in the pit Love has set aside 

for fools who give their all. 

If the call to give up all hasn't seduced you

 to lay down and take the Love hit 

then the constant nagging that probes at your heart will get you

 it just takes a bit.

 nudging you till you say ah what the hell why not go toe to toe one more time

 what happened before surely couldn't happen again.

 I'm not knocking Love for truly it is a wondrous splendid thing

 but seriously dude once the relationship is over just let me be.

 If there is no longer a us

 then I need to remember

 what it means to be just me

 and I can't do that if you're browbeating me with memories of what used to be.

 All I am saying is yes Love your beautiful but beating me up won't make me and him make up... SHEESH!
