 I'm not alone

...i was alone and felt only the void in my soul. I reached out and found your hand was still at my back helping me to stand. 

You touched my ears and suddenly I could hear your encouragement as I walked through the land in which serpents dwelt.

 I took each step wavering because i wanted to turn back.

 My past wasn't nice, but i knew how to survive there.

 Where you're taking me I know nothing. 

"I will have to depend on you I whisper," as I lift my foot hesitating to move.

 backward or forward i ask my inner self. Then I hear your voice clear and loud,

" fear not I am still with you." 

I listen and take the next step...
